Established in 1952, by the late George G. Goettler, Goettlers of Dublin began as a Red and White grocery store in Dublin, Ontario.  Serving the Dublin and surrounding townships the Red and White Market sold groceries, china, dry goods and furniture.



Goettlers of Dublin solidifies its reputation as Ontario’s Furniture Village; often being described as a premier furniture destination.

A major redesign of Goettlers of Dublin transpired in 2010 when Steve’s wife, Vivi Jensen Goettler, joins the company as Secretary/Treasurer.  A complete overhaul of its infrastructure transpired with enhancements to further build on Goettlers of Dublin’s exemplary customer service reputation, with leading edge point of sale and inventory management systems

Goettlers of Dublin has long been known for its elevated design flair.  Steve, Vivi and Kirsten attend design and furniture markets internationally to source the latest trends in design.

Throughout 2016 Goettlers of Dublin demonstrates its digital media expertise with Holiday Weekend promotions providing sensational savings in an environment when shopping is at the customer’s convenience.  

In 2020, Kirsten Pusateri, the next generation, is appointed Vice President, and assumes buying responsibilities for both brands, Goettlers of Dublin and Chesterfield Warehouse Limited.  As the Upholstery Buyer Kirsten travels to international buying shows looking for new trends and vibrant product to showcase.


 2024 was a busy year at Goettlers of Dublin.  January saw the installation of our Palliser Studio, spearheaded by Kirsten.

With restorations always our intent, further improvements were completed through 2024.

 

In 1977 George G., with wife, Ally transformed their business model to furniture and mattresses from their expanded home base of the Joseph Kidd Dry Goods store, an 1869 Confederation era building. 

           

With a keen eye to style and design, George and Ally developed their design expertise with son, Stephen, who joins the business in 1982.

In 2012, Stephen and Vivi launched Chesterfield Warehouse in Stratford, Ontario.  In 2014, the store was relocated to 3959 Perth Road 180 in Dublin, across the street from Goettlers Of Dublin Fine Furniture.  



Kirsten Pusateri, has been a constant presence in the development and execution of the Chesterfield Warehouse Limited brand.  With over 19 years of retail experience Kirsten brings with her expertise in product development, visual merchandising, store operations and retail management with her tenure with Gap Inc., Banana Republic and Goettlers of Dublin.

In 2018 Goettlers of Dublin sees its first female President when Vivi Jensen Goettler is appointed.  

In 2022, we celebrated our 70th year in business launching our motto of Mercatores De Industria (Merchants of Dependability).  We look forward to celebrating our 75th anniversary in 2027

2026 sees the re-launch of Stephen Goettler Vintage, featuring individually selected and curated pieces of antique furniture by Steve and son, George Goettler, Vice President of SGV.
